The true story behind The Trial Of The Chicago 7
“Chicago 7” was a team of litigants charged with conspiracy and generating riots. Their accusations were also linked with the Vietnam war and 1968 counterculture protests.
Their demonstration was carried out for five days in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention, and it involved more than 15,000 people. Police were forced to use gas and batons on the protestors, and several arrests were made.
Later it was declared as a “police riot” by the US National commission.
